Michele Wong McSween is a fourth generation Chinese American, who lives in Brooklyn, New York.  She holds degrees from University California at Berkeley and the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising.  She was a fashion designer for seven years at Old Navy before she left to become a full time mother.

Michele never learned Chinese as a child, so she wanted to make certain that her sons did.  It was important to her that they understand and connect with their heritage.  After enrolling them in several Mandarin classes, Michele wanted something she could read to her boys at bedtime.  She created Gordon & Li Li when her research proved there were no books available that appealed to her simple, but modern design aesthetic.

Gordon & Li Li is a colorful, fun, modern approach to teaching children and their parents Mandarin.  Enjoy!
